I really wish I had tackled this task like 3 years ago. 3 years of soap scum, lime, mildew, and whatever has layered upon layered itself on our bathroom tub...I'm really surprised my husband nor I has not gotten some disease with all that filth growing&nbsp; on there. I'm also surprised house guests have showered in there, I certainly would have refused. You might ask why I let it get to this point....and the sad thing is I have no excuse. The best reason I can come up with is that I don't know how to clean a bathroom, sounds crazy, but I only know basic cleaning skills...vacuuming, cleaning surfaces, dish washing, etc. You see when I got the age where you can teach a child to scrub down a bathroom tub, my parents hired a maid who did all that for me. So I never really thought cleaning a tub was part of bathroom cleaning. I also assumed it would be really easy once I did get motivated to clean to clean up all that grim, so far I've gotten 2 hours of work done and it's still not sparkling clean.
